Welcome to the NY Bioenergy Association website. We are a coalition of individuals, businesses and organizations demonstrating every day that material derived from plants and animals can be used to meet local energy needs while creating local, long-term jobs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to state, regional and national energy goals.  For more on what we do and how to join us, browse the tabs, above.

Syracuse, NY -- May 10, 2015 -- In late April, the New York State Wood Energy Team (NYSWET) held its first Bioenergy Lab, a workshop for potential users of bioenergy for heating, at Schaefer's Gardens, in Triangle, NY. The Lab, which was held in conjunction with the Schaefer's Gardens' Open House, was attended by over forty individuals.  The NYSWET will continue to offer Labs, which include an educational presentation, a demonstration and tour of a bioenergy heating unit, and the opportunity to access technical assistance for feasibility analyses and funding opportunities.  The next Lab will be offered at the Clean Energy Economy Conference, June 11 and 12, at SUNY Polytechnic, in Utica, NY. For more information on this or future Labs, please contact Alice Brumbach. ... Read More
