The Association is supported by member dues, which pay for general operational support, outreach and communications, and by grants, which fund work on specific projects, such as the Technical Assistance for Customer-Sited Rural Biomass Energy Projects in New York State Program, (for more information, click Call(518)463-1297 ). The Association welcomes additional financial contributions from individuals or organizations. These may be used either to provide general operational support, or to carry out specific projects that are compatible with Association goals and objectives.


The New York Biomass  Association is an incorporated, coalition engaged in a management agreement with the Empire State Forest Products Association. The Empire State Forest Products Association, a 501(c)6 corporation, operates as fiscal and operational agent of New York Biomass Association member dues. The New York Biomass Energy Association's grant funded projects are fiscally managed by the New York Farm Viability Institute, a 501(c)3 corporation.
